Mannheimer Reden Special

How can social cohesion be achieved? To address this question in challenging times, SRH—one of Germany’s largest providers of education and healthcare—and the Mannheim National Theatre jointly launched the “Mannheimer Reden” (Mannheim Talks) in 2017. In this series of talks, high-profile guests from the worlds of politics, culture, academia, and business discuss their experiences and ideas on how to remain in dialogue despite our differences.

Looking beyond the present, the series also turns to the future: To mark the 75th anniversary of the International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg and this year’s festival theme, “Imagine Futures!,” the “Mannheimer Reden” special is dedicated to the ever-present issue of artificial intelligence. What opportunities does AI offer for tomorrow’s society—and what challenges must be overcome? The “Mannheimer Reden” offer forward-looking perspectives and create space for open dialogue about the potential and challenges, opportunities and risks of AI.
