Film submissions
Submissions for the 2026 edition
Submissions to the 75th IFFMH (5 - 15 Nov 2026) are possible from March 2 through June 30, 2026. During the submission period, you will find the link to the online submission form at the bottom of this page.
We’re looking for:
- first and second fictional feature films intended for theatrical release (documentaries cannot be submitted)
- with a runtime of at least 61 minutes (short films cannot be submitted)
- that have not yet been shown publicly in Germany
- whose world premiere has not yet taken place or has taken place after 14 September 2025
- that have never been submitted to the IFFMH (re-submissions are not possible)
Deadlines and Fees
Submissions will be accepted from March 2, 2026 at 10:00 CET through June 30, 2026 at 23:59 CET.
From March 2 through April 30, the submission fee is €25 (+7% VAT)
From May 1 through June 30, the submission fee is €40 (+7% VAT).
