Das Atelier als Organismus – Geyso 20 (Podiumsgespräch)

27.09.2026 17:00

The Studio as an Organism – Geyso 20 (Panel Discussion)

Open studios are art workshops for people who require assistance—such as those with a history of mental health challenges, cognitive impairments, or neurodiversity. Their artistic potential remains largely unrecognized; this makes it all the more important to make this potential more visible and recognize it in the future. The film ›The Studio as an Organism – Geyso20‹ offers a glimpse into the Geyso20 studio in Braunschweig and was created for the exhibition “Das Atelier als Gemeinschaft #Geyso20“ (Sprengel Museum Hannover, 2025). The screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmakers Stefan Stark and Pujan Shakupa, studio director Nina Roskamp, studio artist Thorsten Ruperti, and PD Dr. Thomas Röske (Director of the Prinzhorn Collection).

In cooperation with the Karlstorkino and the Prinzhorn Collection Museum.

[Please note, that the event will be held in German language.]
