Building Futures (Aktionstag)

What should the future look like? How do young people want to shape it? What are their utopias, and what are their specific demands?

The Mannheimer Abendakademie, the youth cultural center “forum”, GIRLS GO MOVIE, NEM*A and the Koordinierungsstelle Mädchen*arbeit Mannheim will present various project results on the theme of the future.

While the Mannheimer Abendakademie presents artistic work created as part of projects at the Youth Art School, the animated film by GIRLS GO MOVIE—created on the theme “Imagine Futures!”—will premiere that evening. The forum Mannheim will present current perspectives on the future from various fields. NEM*A and the Koordinierungsstelle Mädchen*arbeit will provide insights into their work and demonstrate how girls are actively shaping the future they want to live in—from compiling demands for a city designed with girls in mind to creative campaigns and actions.
