Two dissimilar brothers are pursued by a brutal gangster on their wild quest to find a hidden treasure. The only thing that can save them is if the Beatles get back together.

After serving a 15-year prison sentence, Anker (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) must recover the loot hidden by his mentally impaired brother Manfred (Mads Mikkelsen). A brutal accomplice from the heist is breathing down his neck. But Manfred no longer seems to remember where he hid the loot. Instead, he now believes he is John Lennon. That makes things pretty tough. Especially since the two dissimilar brothers share an even darker secret.

›The Last Viking‹ reaches the boundaries of good taste and even oversteps some. Raw violence is juxtaposed with hilarious slapstick and absurd interludes of singing. Bonkers!

Director

Director, screenwriter and actor Anders Thomas Jensen is a poet of crude cinema. His debut film, ›Flickering Lights‹ (2000), earned him notoriety, and ›Adam’s Apples‹ (2005) made him famous. Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas have appeared in each of his six films.
