Summer heat, a riverbank in the forest. ›Der Fleck‹ describes a metaphysical place where the questions of youth are revealed. A magical snapshot of a moment in time!

17-year-old Simon is on his way home, he’s in no hurry, he’s rather bored. By chance, he meets his friend Enes and together they go to the river. Other youths are already gathered there. Conversations ripple along, glances are exchanged. Hardly anything else happens – and at the same, it’s everything that represents being together. The scenes have an almost documentary feel, but the magic of the place is staged again and again. Finally, Simon enters the forest. Only Marie follows him. In this enchanted coming-of-age story, our watching becomes part of the film and we thus begin to feel the significance of the moment.
