The attack on the Israeli Olympic team during the Munich Games, told from the perspective of an American TV crew.
It is the early morning of September 5, 1972. Gunshots ring out in the Olympic Village. No one knows yet that they are part of a terrorist attack. A television crew from ABC Sports must suddenly switch from covering sports to reporting on a rapidly escalating political crisis — and ultimately even confront their own moral responsibility.
This incomparably gripping film is perhaps the most internationally acclaimed German cinema production of recent years. Initially nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama at the Golden Globes and Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars, the film went on to win nine German Film Awards.
