A documentary that truly enriches us: we are allowed to accompany real people – in all their immense inner strength, but also their despair – on their difficult final journey. And we learn that the goal of palliative medicine is not to give life more time, but to give time more life. It’s the patients’ well-being that matters. We witness, up close, the deep humanity and devotion of the nurses and doctors in realizing this goal. It takes our breath away. And ultimately, it changes us: because before, we didn’t really want to know anything about dying, about the finiteness of life.
