Gunshots tear through the air. It is November 6, 1985, a dark day in Colombia’s history. A group of M-19 guerrillas storm the Palace of Justice in Bogotá. Among the hostages are judges, court officials, and administrative staff.

Tomás Corredor reconstructs the most intense moments of the siege through a fictional story that unfolds within a single confined space. Gradually, chaos and tension escalate to immeasurable heights. Through skillfully interwoven archival footage, we witness the army’s attempt at recapturing the building from the outside. The fiction gives us access to the inside: up-close, we experience the terror of the hostages and the contradictions, inner turmoil, and despair of the guerrilla fighters in the face of a hopeless situation.
