Wong Kar-Wai’s sensual and moving story of love between two lonely souls. One of the most influential films of the past thirty years.

Hong Kong, 1962: newspaper editor Chow moves with his wife to a neighborhood that is home to many immigrants from Shanghai. There he meets Li-ten, who happens to be moving into the apartment next door on the same day. Time passes, they run into each other in the hallway, at the store, and thus a polite and reserved friendship develops. But then they discover that their spouses have an affair with each other.

Visually spectacular, featuring a heartbreakingly beautiful soundtrack and the incomparable screen couple Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, Wong Kar-Wai’s masterpiece is a study of longing, love, and the fleeting moments that, even if brief, linger forever.
