The 1990s in Kiev – violence, sex and love among Ukrainian youth – are brought to a life in this fast-paced and exciting film by a director with a background in music videos.

When the hell did it start, when will it finally end? - Violence against women: Tonia moves from the center of the city to a new school on the outskirts. In search of protection and a sense of belonging, she joins a clique of tough teenagers. Together they make the post-socialist suburbs of Kiev unsafe. Tonia quickly falls in love with Zhurik, but is also drawn to the ever-menacing Sania. Eventually, she gets caught up in a wrenching love triangle. And then there’s her brutal ex-boyfriend, who won’t stop stalking her. The inner and outer conflicts are thus brought to an inexorable head. - A rousing drama, which in its rich and at the same time dirty colors feels like it crashed into our present directly from the 90s. Captured by a camera that appears unfettered.

Director Anna Buryachkova was born in Ukraine in 1982. She has ten years of experience working with music and commercial videos, both on social media and in the art field, which has earned her recognition at international festivals. ›Forever - Forever‹ is her debut feature.
