The risks, consequences, and opportunities of an open relationship. Wildly funny and brutally honest, this unusual romcom explores a couple’s attempt to break out of the routine of their relationship.

After sixteen years together, François and Julie have somehow lost their spark – in their sex life as well as their partnership. And so, the parents of two decide to open up their relationship. They begin with shy, awkward experiments and ultimately embark on profound, even life-changing experiences – with and without each other. Along the way, they discover various forms of relationships and how they affect their love for one another. As the bond between them weakens, they fight passionately to preserve what they have built together.

Gentle, understated, and above all delightfully funny, ›Follies‹ upends our notions of what a couple can be.
