Johanna Süß

Johanna Süß, born 1979 in Frankfurt, is festival director of the LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International and initiator of the congress Zukunft Deutscher Film. She studied politics, art history and theater, film and media studies in Mainz and Frankfurt. In addition to independent cultural projects such as Freiluftkino Frankfurt and High Rise Cinema, she is active in the fields of film production and media education and has been a member of the board of the Hessian Film and Cinema Office, the HessenFilm initiative since 2014 and has been part of the board of the AG Filmfestival since 2024.
