The celebrated chronicler of everyday life Hong Sangsoo explores the intricacies of our relationships. As haunting and poetic as ever, yet refreshingly different.

At short notice, Jeonim has asked her uncle to write a play for the university festival. He used to be a famous actor, she is a lecturer at the university. The work on the new play quickly gets underway, and simultaneously the relationship between Jeonim, her uncle, and her superior at the university develops its very own dynamic.

With his usual and exceptional dedication to subtle nuances, Hong Sangsoo tells of fears and dreams, of success and failure. The film is carried along by its dialogues, which are intervowen at once elegantly and casually. This time, however, the characters approach each other with disarming openness. And then there is the nearby river.
