Film submissions
Thanks for your submissions!
The submission period for the 74th IFFMH ended on 15 July 2025. Submissions for the 2026 edition will be possible from approximately April to July 2026. The precise regulations will be announced at the beginning of 2026. See you next year!
We’re looking for:
- first and second fictional feature films intended for theatrical release (documentaries cannot be submitted)
- with a runtime of at least 61 minutes (short films cannot be submitted)
- that have not yet been shown publicly in Germany
- whose world premiere has not yet taken place or has taken place after 14 September 2025
- that have never been submitted to the IFFMH (re-submissions are not possible)
- PLEASE NOTE: These conditions are still subject to change. The final submission conditions for the 75th IFFMH will be published here in early 2026
